Original Artwork: Acrylic on textured canvas.
‘The best view comes after the hardest climb’ (Unknown)
This painting is called ‘The Journey Matters’. This is my largest canvas painting. When I activated the canvas with sweeping marks of colour, I thought that it was going to develop into an Angel painting. I could see the outline of the forms huge on the canvas. As I became more absorbed in the creative process, these forms developed as mountains with waterfalls. The painting seems peaceful to me, almost spiritual.
Mountains symbolise constancy, mental strength and perserverance. Waterfalls symbolise the flow of positive energy over obstacles in life. Waterfalls and mountains often relate to a great release of emotion and rejuvenation. Look for the magic in every moment.
